Each year, Dr. Truong and our team take part in an event that offers free preventive dental care for kids 12 and under. This year’s Give Kids A Smile event will take place on March 1st at our West Spring Valley Road location. Give Kids a Smile
We know that not every child is able to undergo routine dental care for a number of reasons, but we want to provide a chance for these children to receive preventive care to help safeguard them against tooth decay, and to educate them on better oral hygiene routines. The Give Kids A Smile event takes place on Friday, March 1st from 8am until 4pm at our Richardson office on 722 West Spring Valley Road. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to call now to reserve a spot for your child.
For those 12 and younger, we can offer FREE dental x-rays, exams, and cleanings. We can place dental sealants for free too, and these layers coat the teeth children have trouble reaching to lower the risk of tooth decay. Fluoride treatment can be applied to the teeth to strengthen the enamel and make cavities less likely in the months to come. Our team will also discuss proper brushing and flossing, and healthier snack options to limit sugar and starch on their diets!
Protecting Little Smiles at Home
Following their visit, they will need to wait about 30 minutes before they eat or drink, as we want the fluoride and sealants to properly cure. Moving forward, make sure they brush in the morning and again at night for two minutes with a fluoride toothpaste, as this can help lower the risk of issues like tooth decay and gingivitis, and help them enjoy better oral health!
