Checkups and Cleanings for Kids
Our team offers amenities to help kids feel comfortable, from video games to movies and TV shows they can watch during cleanings and treatments. With an exam, we can conduct a precise diagnosis to see if treatment is needed for issues like tooth decay. We also clean the teeth to remove all plaque and tartar, lowering the risk of cavities and gingivitis for little smiles.
Preventing Cavities
Our team also offers treatments to help lower the risk of cavities. As part of their checkups, we can apply fluoride to the teeth to strengthen enamel and prevent cavities from forming. If there is already an area of weakened enamel soon to become a cavity, we could halt this with Silver Diamine Fluoride, preventing the need for a filling. Our team also knows that kids often have trouble reaching their rear molars when they brush and floss. With dental sealants, we can apply a special acrylic coating to these teeth so food and drink particles cannot be trapped there, which lowers the risk of cavities. Sealants can often stay in place for years, as many as ten in some cases.
Pediatric Evaluations
When children have limited breathing through obstructed airways, this can lead to poor sleep and difficulties during the day with behavior and reaching educational and emotional milestones. Our team can conduct a pediatric evaluation to assess their air passages. If we find blockages, we could offer a custom oral appliance to help ensure proper breathing at night and a better performance at school!
