We’re always excited to add a specialist to our team, so we can continue to offer families in our community access to quality dental care. Recently, Dr. Mo has joined our team as a board-certified orthodontist at both locations! In today’s blog, your Dallas, TX, family dentist talks about what this means for our patients, especially those looking to correct their misalignment and even more attractive smiles.
Dr. Mo, DDS, MSc Ortho, Cert. Ortho, ABO
We are so proud to welcome Dr. Mo, a board-certified orthodontist, to our team! Dr. Mo will be treating patients at both our Dallas and Richardson locations. Starting university at just 15 years of age, Dr. Mo has a lifetime of experience in the field of dentistry and as an orthodontist. His dedication and hard work have earned him multiple awards and fellowships, and brings that expertise to our office to help our patients young and old with their orthodontic concerns.
The Importance of an Even Smile
Why should you consider orthodontic treatment for you or a member of your family? When we have an uneven smile, this provides places for food and drink particles to become trapped. Even if you brush and floss, you may not be able to do so adequately enough, leading to tooth decay and gum disease. Uneven teeth could upset bite balance and stress your jaw joints, leading to TMJ disorder and bruxism (teeth grinding). You may also feel embarrassed about your appearance. But we can help, and in fact, we are currently offering free consultations for braces and Invisalign®!
Invisalign® and Braces
We have two main orthodontic treatment options for our patients. With braces, we can take on more advanced cases of misalignment. We attach brackets to the front of each tooth and connect a portion of an arch wire to them with bands. Dr. Mo will then adjust tension in the wire to begin correcting the position of your teeth. For more minor cases, we could offer Invisalign® aligners, a series of clear aligners custom-made for your smile that could shift your teeth in as little as one year.
If you have any questions about orthodontics or our free consultations, then contact our team today to get started! Now is a great time to start treatment, as you can potentially use your remaining 2024 dental benefits and health savings account funds before they expire!
