The Impact of Poor Alignment
How does poor alignment impact your smile? When you have crooked, crowded, and overlapping teeth, this could make it more difficult to brush and floss daily. Braces
Braces are an excellent way to take on more severe cases of dental misalignment. We will attach metal brackets to the front of the teeth and then connect a portion of a thin arch wire with a band. We will then adjust tension in the wire to help shift the teeth and correct misalignment, usually in about a two years total. We also have an option known as lingual braces. These are less visible, as we attach the brackets and wires to the back of the teeth instead of the front. We could offer these for teens and adults, helping correct major cases of dental misalignment.
Invisalign®
Dr. Mo and our team could also offer Invisalign® aligners to correct dental misalignment. With this option, we do not need any brackets or wires. Instead, we will take detailed images of your bite to design and craft a series of clear and custom plastic aligners. These are worn daily, and stay practically invisible the entire time. In as little as a year, this could shift smiles and correct poor alignment.
