Every year we’re happy to provide free preventive sealants and cleanings to underserved children in our community. We do this as part of the American Dental Association’s Give Kids A Smile event. On February 24th, we’ll be offering these free services at our Richardson office, so don’t miss out!
Give Kids A Smile
This event was started by the American Dental Association in 2003. Across the country, thousands of practices will be offering children in their communities access to important preventive treatments. Since 2003, over 5.5 million underserved children in the United States have received care through this program. At Viva Dental, we’re proud to take part in Give Kids A Smile!
Reserve Your Place
We recommend calling ahead because space will be limited! On February 24th from 9am until 6pm at our Richardson office we will be performing free dental cleanings and placing dental sealants for children 12 and younger. The cleaning removes plaque and tartar, brightening teeth and reducing the risk of tooth decay and gingivitis. Dental sealants prevent food from becoming stuck between the molars, which sit at the back of the mouth and are often difficult for children to reach when brushing and flossing.
Improving Young Smiles at Home
If your child receives a cleaning, think of this as a fresh start for their smile. Each day, make sure your little one brushes twice and flosses once to remove food particles and help protect the smile from tooth decay and gingivitis. Brushing and flossing can also help reduce the severity of plaque buildup in between dental cleanings.
